Event Details

Magic In The Making  is a benefit concert to support the programs of Artists Creating Together in Ottawa County.  ACT will be joined by international tenor Carlos Seise and local fan favorites The Pigeon Creek Shakespeare Company for a night of magic that the whole family can enjoy!

Carlos Seise (http://www.carlosseise.com)  was born to sing. After studying at the Conservatory of Music in Puerto Rico, he was given a government scholarship to continue his studies in New York with renowned opera coach Carmen Savoca and Payton Hibbit, former teachers of the great Spanish tenor, Placido Domingo. Upon his return to Puerto Rico in 1987, Mr. Seise entered the Metropolitan Opera House Regional Auditions winning first prize in the tenor category. Shortly thereafter, he made his singing debut as Rodolfo in "La Boheme" which became one of his signature roles.

His singing career has since been a succession of triumphs starting with his tenor role in C.Orff's "Carmina Burana" with the Dominican Republic Symphony to opera houses world wide.  He has performed leading tenor roles in LaTraviata, Tosca, Madame Butterfly, Don Pasquale, Cosi fanTutte and Amahl and the Night Visitors, and many others. His newest operatic roles include, Rigoletto, Faust, L’elixir D’amore and Werther.

Most recently, Seise performed in the world premiere of two contemporary operas written especially for him, "Bethlehem Inn" by Puerto Rican composer Roberto Milano, and “Benito Sereno” by Spanish composer J.I Morales from Madrid.

The Pigeon Creek Shakespeare Company (http://pcshakespeare.com) seeks to offer performances of Shakespeare's works to Michigan audiences in a variety of non-traditional theatre venues.  Pigeon Creek employs theatrical performance techniques such as universal light and audience contact to adapt its productions to multiple performance venues and to actively engage audience members in the performance.
